Yes, it is a relatively uncomplicated procedure, but which is made fairly challenging by virtue of the fact that the heater control valve is stuffed up under the dash. You will need to remove the center console, the knee bolster, some floor heat duct work, etc. to get at it from beneath. There is a method at townsendimports.com that shows how to do the job completely through the speaker hole, but this site is put together by pro Saab technicians who do this stuff day in & day out: I've not heard of anyone successfully using their method. Still, there is some helpful info in their instructions; I recommend printing it out. You'll need a Bentley manual, too. Also, there's a FAQ here on Saabnet that has helpful information. I ended up using all 3 sources to get mine done.
Search this board for "heater control valve" and "knee bolster" for more information. By new valve from Saabnet sponsor.
