you probably have a slipped belt or a bubble on one side of a tire.
As a sidenote, the jobsite I've been working at has a lot of HUGE Volvo articulated dump trucks. A couple of weeks ago I saw a bubble on the inner side of one of the tires. A few days later there was a large BANG. I figure that these drivers look at their trucks to see if there's anything amiss. Turns out that the tire went when he had a full load in the bed. Heck of a job changing that tire.
