Went to look at a 93 900T commemorative edition this morning. Asking price was $4,500, so I thought hmm, worth a look at least.

Ends up this is a dealer selling from his house. Car has 77,000 miles. That is the only good news.

He tells me the turbo was smoking "so I disabled it" he says. How did you do that I asked..."I took the turbo off and gutted it, it's just hollow now"...no folks, I'm not kidding.

Hmm, paint looks like sh*t, turns out it was repainted...really poor. So I ask "clear title?"...uh,no, rebuilt. What kind of accident I asked, "oh, minor fender bender"...again, I'm not kidding.

I look inside to see cloth front seat in poor shape. What happened to the leather seats I asked..."They got stolen"....you guessed it, I'm not kidding again.

So I took it for a drive anyway since I was there. oh, no surprise, 2nd gear is shot, SRS is flashing away, dash is cracked, headliner falling, even the rear leather seats were trashed.

$4,500 for a trashed 93....is it just me or is this insane?

Really felt kinda sick seeing this car in this abused shape. Had the CE plaque, grey alloys with polished lip and the wood dash as well (which looks pretty good BTW).

Shame, shame , shame.

Oh, and he drives a geo metro!
