funny you should ask. whats funnier is that i just finished towing home a 1980 5 door with my spg to put a 16v turbo in it. You can't do it. it is just too much weight. the brakes can't handle it and it was the last straw for my differential. I towed one ton to SoCal but that extra 1000 pounds is just undoable. sorry. you could do it. maybe...but i would not recommend it. there are a lot of gradients between here and there. ( parents live in denver so i know the route well). a 9k may be able to handle it but the rear suspension on a c900 is just not stout enought and you get real bad handling..REALL BADD!!! I only drove about 15 miles and that was a real white knuckler. without trailer brakes it will literally push your car sideways and a trailer would add 1200 pounds or so. 4000+ behind a saab is a tall order. gonna have to make two trips. where in the seattle area are you bound? we have the best saab shop in the country and a good saab club with nothing but boneheaded sawzall maniacs cutting and pasting parts around like they are playdough. Drop a line to the BBS when you get in town and we will get you signed up on the seattle saab club mailing list. ignore warnings about...i'll trash anyone who disparages my lofty reputation as an all around genteel and soft-spoken guy.

buy any chance are you related to Tim Willison?
