I actually changed the headgasket a couple months ago, before which it was boosting up to the yellow/red line, but it was NOT engaging the cut-off switch. Then I fixed the headgasket, and it was stuck in base boost for about a month. I then replaced a couple vacuum hoses and the spark plug wires, but thats it. Maybe the raised compression from the headgasket had something to do with it?
That valve near the turbo (APC valve I think) with the three tubes coming out is hooked up correctly, however, Im wondering if the wires connected to that valve are functioning. They are completely frayed and rusting (its an 85, the wiring is falling apart all over). I know those hoses are all ok though.
