If you have A/c, you need to move the compressor out of the way..do not disconnect, but remove the two hex screws holding the A/C bracket, along with the alternator screw holding the A/C bracket (a flex socket extension bar helps immensely here).
I then remove the two hoses going into the top of the back of the waterpump (I think one is a heater hose, one gors to the coolant expansion tank) then you can get at the lower rad hose.
Fyi, I use a bit of the red silicone seal (not too much - you cannot let the stuff get into the system) and then tighten the hose down - use a new clamp while you are in there, esp if you replace the hose.
It does seem like a lot just to tighten a hose, but it ain't too bad... worse part can be the a/c bracket bolts...they can be a bear...best to use a socket with a hex head on it, rather than an allen wrench.
