First one being how long the dealer has been around, if they are SAAB exclusive or not and location in the country.
In the northeast SAABs are really common, old & new. I grew up in Virginia...I remember seeing a handful of SAAB's in the 25 years I spent there. On the other hand, in the 3 years I've spent in Mass. I've seen hundreds and owned 3. The dealer I go to has 2 guys behind the parts counter that drive classic 900's. The dealer has been exclusivly SAAB for around 30 years. I think it's tough to be an exclusive SAAB dealer in most parts of the country....so what you end up with is the "super dealer" that carries 3 or 4 different makes. Those guys will never know or appreciate an older SAAB.
So go there with patience...they just don't understand us.
