Sorry for delay, but I have a possible answer for you, and you are not imagining things. Alignment has a larger effect on mileage than most realize. i'll bet that the shop set too much toe-in. See townsendimports.com tech documents on how easy it is to miss-align Saabs. If you have the toe-in set to zero, you will find that the mileage will go up and your turn-in will be better, i.e. less push. I went from less than 400 miles between fills to up to 450 by taking out all toe-in and setting to zero. BTW, i now do diy toe-in using a heavy string to set distance between rims equal frontedge to front edge and back to back. Works like a charm.
