I found something everyone should know about!!! (LONG)

2 years ago I replaced both inner CV drivers with brand new ones. At some time the one near the exhaust started to leak fluid. The problem is that it didn't leak from the boot, but it leaked from a seem in the cup itself.
If anyone has a spare driver lying around, take a look at it and check out the seem. There are 2 parts to the driver, the "axle" part, and then the cup part. It seems as if these two are then joined together.
I'm not sure how or why this seem started leaking, but it did and it dried out the bearing. I replaced the cup with a new one ($$$) along with a new tri-pod bearing. This time I used hi-temp silicone around the seem. I'm hoping this will be good enough, but I have my doubts.
The funny thing is that this has happened to other people. So I know it's not a fluke. You can tell this is happening by looking at where the grease is flying. Mine was all stacked on top of the power steering rack by the tranny.
I'm not sure if the grease got so liquidy that it just seeped out or if the driver seem did start to separate. I use the standard grease that comes in the boot kit just like everyone else. If it happens again, I'll try some synthetic grease.
I still have the old, leaking inner driver, and I will examine it after I clean it up!
Just an FYI...
