Electric Gremlin Back! Posted by JustinHiFi [Email] ![]() ![]() |
Last night while driving to Walmart I noticed that my right turn signal was stuck on. (I thought NOOOO!) The electric gremlin is back. Here are the symptoms:
-Headlights on
-Right turn signal front, rear, and directional light are always lit.
-Signal left, all ok
-Signal right, only cornering comes on, turn signal still on
-Headlights off
-No turn signals are on.
-Signal left, all ok
-Signal right, headlights lite up to about 1/4 intensity with the
flash of the signal.
-If the fog light switch is depressed, the fogs light up to full
intensity with the headlights and turn signals.
This same problem happened about 8 months ago or so, found that the rad. ground point needed cleaning. Well since I was @ Wally World, I picked up need stuff, and cleaned connection. No luck. The other ground point that is common (per Bentley) is the one in the dash behind console. I have no idea where to check this one. I am sure it is not the turn signal switch. Also, if I unplug the headlight switch, everything works just fine. This may be because the ground loop is open.
Richard Miller, thanks for all your help last time. If you ahve any additional advice....
Thanks all!
