I am the owner of a 1987 900Turbo Con'v 5spd. The car is really in excellent shape...mechanical and aesthetic. I have invested quite a bit of money in the car, ie; clutch, tune-up, axels, ball joints, alternator, crank shaft pulley, spg wheels, tires, motor mounts, vented rotors...you get the picture. The problem is that I just started a new job that is 40 miles from my house one way. THe only good thing is that it is ALL highway, and no traffic at all. But it still kills me to put this mileage on the car. When you figure it out, I am looking at 1600 miles a month just for work. Should I put the car away for the winter and get a civic and use the saab in the summer and nice days only? I really hate the idea of a car payment. HELP ME DECIDE! Should I drive the car in the ground or hold on to it and get a civic? THe car currently has 128,000 miles on it.
