Water from exhaust....?

I'm just curious, but does anyone know what causes about a cup or two of water to come out of my muffler? It started happening with the cold weather. Today I was working on the stereo, and had the car running. I noticed that there was a puddle on the ground and the muffler was dripping. When I gave her some gas, she spat out 2-4 foot long trails of steam/condensation and water. She seems to drive fine, no problems, but I was just wondering. Thanks in advance.
