and motor runs when appropriate up or down buttons are pressed. Assumption is that the pump doesn't pump anymore. How do I remove the motor/pump from its mount. There are 4 rubber mounts that hold the unit to a raised plate welded to the floor. It appears that they could be 'stretched' by pushing a rounded end dowel down the center hole as the unit is being lifted off - is this the way?
Before ordering a new pump I would like to see if the connection between the motor and the pump's impeller is cracked, broken or whatever and if it can be repaired . Before I remove the unit, and even though the fluid is at the 'full' line, I would like to add some fluid just to see if the pump requires a wee bit more. Can I add non-detergent 10W30 (as some have suggested) to the existing hydraulic fluid?? If not what other, non-Saab Dealership ($$$), fluid could I use??
