1988 Saab 900 Turbo Convertible
Yesterday this was the course of events...
I got up in the morning and moved my car. I put in new speakers in the dash. I started the car like normal and moved it to the front of my building. About an hour later I went to a friend's, before I left I put my top down. I went in his house for about five minutes and went to start the car again. I wouldn't turn over. The battery was basically run down. I noticed that one of the back window power buttons was stuck in the "down" position. I thought perhaps this had drained the battery. We jumped the car and it started. We drove it for about 20 minutes and came back to his house. I turned the car off again to see if it would start. Battery was even more dead. We jumped it again. This time shortly after removing the jumper cables it died. We jumped it again. I tried to drive it around the block and I had to struggle to keep it running. I'm not sure it's JUST the battery. A mechanic told me that it probably is the battery, but perhaps the computer needs to be reset now and it's getting a bad fuel mixture and that's why it's cutting out. Any thoughts on this? It's being towed in the morning otherwise to be fixed. Just thought I'd give a last ditch effort to see if I can avoid the expense.
