I have been thinking basically the same thing. I have a OOO so nice '91 900S. Actually I won 2nd place in the countor de Saab competition @ thee 2001 Owners convention in Vero. Anyway, I truely love my car, but feel that I need more power for some reason. Even though I have a much slower car than a turbo, I do not run it hard at all, most of the time. Maybe open it up once every week or two; nothing more.
Since I am a Fresh, I think I am going to stick with my VERY (knock knock) reliable car untill I can afford to have both my baby, and a turbo. This should be after I'm done with school if all goes well.
Actually my RA has 2 cars and a motorcycle here on campus. For the spring, summer, and fall he has a '94 Mitsu 3000GT Twin Turbo 6-speed yellow. For the winter he has a '88 Suberu whatever. And for the weekends or just for fun, has a 600 Susuki streetbike. AGH, if I only had the extra $$, or the stupidity to spend my savings now...
