Hi Tim,
Take a can of spray silicon spray and spray the rear hatch seal,opening in the body,hinges,catches,side support rubbers ect.
Check all appearent fasteners to be good and snug.
Same with the doors.
Pull your front speaker/defrost vents and with a flashlight lock for and tie down possable rattleing wires,cables ect. with nylon wire ties.
Make sure fasteners are snug.
In the front,lower shock bushings are prone to go bad and are cheap to buy and install.
Same story with ball joints.
I found a pain in the butt rattle in my 1985 900T was the metal power steering line was sometimes touching the right engine mount parts as the engine moved around in normal operation.
