My saab is developing a mind of it's own and would like a second oppinion on my thoughts. First I have replaced in the past 7K miles the plug wires, spark plugs, Voltage regulator. With that in mind. I have had my saab on two occasions just not start. One after going to lunch and it setting for a hour. After about 15 minutes it some how sputtered to a start but was hesitant in throttle reponse. So figured I'd replace the rotor and cap on the dist. Haven't done this yet.
Then yesterday on a 7 city mile trip home a block from home at a red light the car just dies on me. I'm able to get a tow home and let it sit for four hours were it then starts.???? The fuel pump has always been noisy from the day I bought this. It's had the quirky cold start takes a will to get the gass flowing smoothy. Am I probably right in determining it's a dieing fuel pump. I'm going to go test jumpers on the pump. But with it working right now I"m sure I'm not going to get any playce. I also have bought a fuel filter to replace. ONly other thing I can think of would be ign. switch.
I'm looking for someone to tell me I'm correct on the fuel pump.....THANKS

PS: She did this to me after last night I installed a HI-Flow carsound cat on her to make her exhaust rumble. :(
