I have a '93 900S. With the key in, the headlights work like a regular car: off when the switch is off; on when the switch is on. However, when I remove the key, ther lights go off, even when the switch is on. Thus, with the switch ON, the headlights work like DRLs. I leave the switch on all the time--lights are on when I'm driving and off when I'm parked. The only problem is I forget to turn lights on and off when I get in other cars!Unfortunately, this isn't good enough to get a break from the insurance co., since it''s still possible to turn off the lights.
My wife has a '95 900S. It has real DRLs. There's no way to turn those suckers off. The switch just determines whether you can flip to high beams or not. I think SAAB went to real DRLs on the 900 with the switch to the new body style in '94.
I don't have a clue about the fog lights. Good luck.
