for gauges deteriorate and you need to tighten the two nuts that control ground signal. You can get to the two 7mm nuts from left speaker hole. Right behind temp and fuel gauge on the back of speedo cluster. The problem is that you can't look down there at the same time you have the wrench there so everything have to be done by feel.
