Mobil 1 10W-30: I ran that for about 6 months before I
I switched to Redline. Everytime I tried to put it in reverse
there was a big grinding thump.
Red Line MTL: As soon as I switched I was able to put in reverse
without the dreaded thump. I ran that oil for roughly a
year before I decided to try Honda MTF. I wasn't that
impressed with how well it shifted.
Honda MTF (Manual Transmission Fluid): As soon as I put it in
the shifting became much easier. I've only had it in for
6 months so we'll see what happens this winter. So Far this is
my favorite oil.
- No flushes between oil changes.
- 150,000 on the transmission and I'm pretty easy on it.
- Any difference in front tire pressure will make shifting more
difficult.
