I went from Maine to Atlanta one time...1300 miles and 21 hours. I was doing 75-80 anytime I could and still managed to average only 62 over the whole trip. I left at 4 in the morning and got to Atlanta at 1 in the morning. Personally, I'd suggest stopping somewhere to sleep. I figured I'd just drive until I got tired, then get a hotel. Well I didn't really get tired until Charlotte, so I said hey what's another 6 hours now? Well, by the time I got to Atlanta I was pretty much hallucinating. It was definitely not safe for me to be on the road. 14-15 hours isn't too bad, if you can make it in that time somehow, but if it's up around 20, you're much better off breaking it up. Good luck!
