I have a 94 900T conv. 130k miles with an auto tranny. I am almost positive it is original i dont have any knowledge of it being replaced prior to me aquiring the car. It seems to shift fine, at high speed no grinding or jerking. I am having the engine halfway rebuilt at the moment, the head gasket went, so i am having timing chain cams valves rings water pump alternator bearings radiator and whatever else needs replacing. Do you think that when the tranny goes i should go ahead and have it converted to a 5 speed, and do you think it is as reliable as a factory made 5 speed car, is their any problems after it is done? Another choice may be is to remove the tranny while it is running fine, sell it for something and then put the profits towards a conversion. Thanks in advance for all your responses.
