so i posted a couple weeks ago about my 90 900t (almost 170k) and these annoying little bubbles that kept appearing in the coolant expansion tank. i was assured here that this was normal. ahhhhh :) then, despite my repeated efforts, i was suddenly unable to bleed the cooling system - always more air in there, no matter how often i bled it. i was hoping there was some way the system was sucking in air and losing coolant, but i couldn't find a leak and the coolant is disappearing, from the max line to the min line in 3-400 miles, but i was hoping maybe the bleeding air could explain this partially... now, for the past couple days, every time i start the car, it idles like crap, chugging along and vibrating (with a few quick bursts of smooth idling) for 30 seconds to a minute - then it runs smooth - but throws out grayish smoke, visible while driving - the coolant tank bubbles at idle and hitting the throttle causes a stream of bubbles like i were blowing into the tank with a straw. i've worried about head gaskets before, but my fears have always been allayed here :) i'm planning on driving cross country in less than 2 weeks, so i need to figure this out and fix it pretty soon! advice??
