Kinda interesting touch up paint story... and question. Posted by Jon [Email] (#11) [Profile/Gallery] (more from Jon) on Fri, 7 Dec 2001 10:49:19 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
After having the pleasure of seeing a flat head screw driver take a tiny piece (really small but it really bugged me) of my hood's pain out after falling 4 feet off a ladder i was using to work on garage door rails, i went up to my local dealership to get some paint. When i went to use it the paint went on nicely. I later went to apply the clearcoat/varnish from the bottle that came with it, but the stuff was like rubber cement, it was terrible, i managed to get a little glob on but when i took the brush off the body, it made it come to a point, and it looked really bad, i guess the paint was made a while back or something. So i had to try to cleat it off, and use the wire brush to get it off, i then waxed the little scratches out and just applied touch up paint with no varnish. My question is, will it hold up/project the car without the varnish on?
Thanks,
Jon
