From what I understand Summit Racing sells universal fit hi-flow cats. The universal ones come without flanges, but has oversized flanges to slip fit. This is useless since the downpipe has a 4 bolt flange.
The size of the cat pipe is the same as the size of the adjacent pipes - so 2.5" in your case. The length is the overall length and is intended to match that of your existing cat. - even though the converter housing is smaller.
Follow the link to discountconverter.com. I think these are hi-flow perf cats but the website is somewhat confusing.

When you get to Saab and choose your year and then click on the model number specific to your engine (16v turbo) the picture does show flanges on the cat.
Let us know what you find out about their cats if you get one.
