I have just recently obtained a 1986 SPG and it sits to high!
I want to lower this car and I believe I have three options:
Onw is to cut the stock springs, another is to heat the stock springs and of course the third is to buy shorter springs.
On my recent 1985 Turbo I had cut a set of springs and did not like the harshness which led to my exchanging them for a set of MSS lowered springs which were fine but with a lot of miles on the car and KYB shocks they could be harsh on our frost heaved roads. The option of heating the stock coils sounds interesting as I can live with the spring rate now and just want the car lower. Has any one had any experience with this?
What is available in the market place for shorter springs now?
