regarding 2)
For a spacer tool user ring of solid copper wire from electrical section of your Home Depot / other. use 6 or 8 gauge.
For a tool to open the hydraulics...well I got lucky once when slave cyl was shot. Bled the system then immediately had assistant step on clutch pedal and I inserted above mentioned spacer ring.
regarding 3)
I had no problem bleeding system before or after clutch work by simply keeping reservoir full and opening bleeder on slave cyl. until it stopped bleeding air. Seems gravity did all that was needed, and Saab design prevented air-locks / siphon problems.
You may wish to consider replacing entire clutch kit if you have already extracted the slave cylinder. It's not all that expensive, and the labor is -free- since you're already there.
