picking up from NOV......
I purchased my 90 convertable with the top
not working by power.
previous owner was not much help.
indicated shop told him $3,000 - $4,000 US
and decided to not mess with it.
carpet behinnd drivers seat stays somewhat
oily even though i have vacumed many times.
jumped power to motor and it works
with bubbles moving through the lines.
when trying switch all i get is clicking from the relays.
hand brake on.
very little oil in resevour on pump.
the top of the pistons have been removed
from connecting with the top. I presume this was done to
allow the top to be raised and lowered easier manually.
NO evidence of oil on either cylinder, lines, or around the pump/motor.
Prior to taking the hydralics out, should I replace the relays in order to get the motor to work with the switch. One of the relays had an X from a marker. ( whatever that could mean)
With the evidence of the oil on floor behind drivers seat, where is the most likely spot to assume a leak.
To remove the hydralics, besides the top pin with cotter key, what holds the cylinders in place.
Appreciate any help.
