air or fuel leaks, ELCD (charcoal cannister) system and fuel pressure. The "air-fuel mixture too lean" tells me the engine is getting either too much air or too little fuel (or both), so much so that the O2 sensor is seeing values below the minimum the control unit is capable of adjusting for. An air leak would have to be large in my experience to be the cause, so forget about the little stuff -- check the big air hoses to the intake, brake booster, etc. Then move on to the ELCD. Then check for low fuel pressure or injector o-ring leaks. Also, is O2 preheater working?

If those check out, then look at the AMM. However, I'd have to wonder why you didn't get a code either that the AMM is not putting out a signal to the ECU or its burn-off isn't working. Either of these should trigger a CE light code. You can swap out the AMM if you have a spare one, of course, but before spending money on a replacement, check the existing AMM. You've already checked the hot wire, so do the electrical checks. Connect a digital voltmeter across terminals 1 and 4. Rev engine to 2500 and shut off. After 4 sec, you should get 4 volts for 1 sec and wire should glow. If no glow, replace AMM. If no voltage, then turn on key. You should get ground at pin 4, voltage at pin 5. If no voltage, problem would be in wiring or system relay. If all this seems to be overly thorough, it's just the way I would go about it. I'd always rather spend the time to get the diagnosis right, before spending money on parts.
