It depends on how good you want it to sound. My system in my 88 SPG consist of a 6.5 inch component set in th ekick panels as well as a single 12 in sub, I have no rear fill :o)

If you don't want to go this route, simply adding a pair of 6.5's under the front seats in a sealed box with a x-over on them will give you lots of mid bass. If you are worried about proper imaging the kicks are by far the best but you can also get speakers installed in your door. Either the map pockets or the area by the door handle works OK.

Speaker & amp wise it also depends on your $$$$. Someone mentioned getting stuff a year or so old is a great way to get excellent stuff for a fraction of the price it's just that you don't know if it's been abused or not.

Brand wise that's hard to say. I have been a fan of Adcom amps & infinity speakers for a ong long time. BUT that's doesn't mean you will like it at all :o) Your best bet is to visit your local car audio shop (preferable independant & not chain) & listen to what they have. If you can't tell the difference between the $100 speakers & the $250 ones don't waiste your $$$$. Same with the amps! Listen to them & figure out how much power & SQ you want & go from there :o)
