Cruise control take-off and the rear floor....

Okay, two things:
1. My cruise control now is freaking out on me all the time--whenever I turn it on and hit "Set," it just starts speeding up faster and faster.. I always hit the brakes before I go too much faster. Occasionally, turning it on and off (as well as trying to set the speed repeatedly) will help. Also, sometimes when I push the switch to "off," the Cruise light on the dash comes back on and the car tries to run away with me again -- as if I had hit resume. I'm thinking (hoping) a new stalk is in order--any opinions? Are these easy to replace without ripping the whole dash fascia out?
2. My 900 is a 3-door hatch and ever since I've owned the car, the rear floor has never closed flush to the floor. When it's closed, it seems like its hitting up against the emergency wheel, and the left (driver's) side is always up above the rest of the floor by about.. an inch. I've tried moving the wheel around in there to make it fit better, but I've not been able to get it right. What am I missing here??
Thanks for your help!
