The rebuild kit comes with new screws, hall affect sender, and circlips etc.
The rebuild kit plug on the end of the hall sender fits an '87 and earlier plug. The problem is that the slot for the plug on the distributor housing is a different size than the '88 and on housing. I cut off the plug on the new hall sender and soldered them to a a three plug connector. The other end of the three plug connector was attached to the wiring harness after cutting off the plug. I left the 88 connector plug in place to fill the slot on the housing and drilled a hole for the three wires to exit out from. The hole I sealed with epoxy. It ain't stock but it is $250 dollars cheaper to fix.
Headups: Place a small notch on the dist. housing and the valve cover with a chisel before removing the distributor to maintain you timing position.
Seal connector with heat wrap or electrical tape. You don't want to get stranded because of a bad connection.
You could also change over the housing to an earlier style prior to this project. I was in a hurry and didn't have one around. Then you wouldn't have to wire in a new connector. You would need the wiring harness end plug as well to match the rebuild kit.
Hope that helps....
