I had to do many trailer wiring jobs in my previous job (installer of trailer hitches & truck accessories). Since nearly all recent SAABs that I've seen have independent (orange) rear turn signals (not common bulb with brake light), they should be rather simple to wire.
You can get a universal trailer wiring harness my Hopkins manufacturing (or other maker) and connect it up with included instructions (tools needed=test light and wire crimping pliers or just plain pliers).
A word of caution: I am not familiar with the '91 900s (only '84s). If your car has a pictogram type display on your instrument cluster telling you when brake lights or tail lights burn out, then attaching a trailer light wiring harness which only gets power from the tail light/turn signal circuit can set off such a pictogram display falsely. To get around this (which I ran into on Jeep Grand Cherokees) you must get a universal trailer light harness which is powered by the vehicle's battery (a real pain; you have to run a wire from the positive terminal of your battery all the way back to your trailer light harness).
That way, the trailer lights draw only current from the battery/alternator, not through the tail light circuit. If you have no pictogram on the dash, then you're golden. Hope this isn't too confusing.
