Electrical Gremlin -- HELP??

First of all the vehicle is an 86 900 turbo. Here is the story. I got in the car Monday morning and it would barely turn over. I jumped it from my son's 900S and drove to work with absolutely no problem. I stut the car off and immediately tried a restart. Again it would barely turn over. The exact same senario on the trip home. I surmized the alternator was OK because the car ran fine once it was jumpered. I pulled the battery and brought it to Sears. They but it on a tester and confirmed it was bad. I installed the new one and all seemed well. On Saturday I returned home after about a 15 mile drive. Within 5 minutes of my return my wife went out to start the car and it would barely turn over. I put the charger on it over night and it started right up this morning. I took the car to a local Advance Auto Parts store and they were nice enough to test the system in the car. (sears wanted $10 for it) They tested the alternator , the battery, and even the starter. The machine tested it under load and all results were good. So, I am of the belief that I now own a battery that I probably didn't need and I have no clue as to where to look next. Any suggestions?????? Thanks
Gary
