Have the trans drained as soon as possible and check the magnetic drain plug for steel shavings and maybe pieces of reverse gear.

Put new fluid in and drive the car, and even have a Saabmechanic drive and listening for the noise.

It is a oneway road to destruction when pinionbearings start to fail but you can prolong the life quiet a bit with changing the fluid and cleaning the magnet.

A lot of hard acceleration will also shorten the life of tranny.
