3 easy things to do to check condition.
1st check all fuses.
2nd pull the vacuum pump out in the engine compartment and attach a vacuum gauge to line then connect to a 12v source. Make sure the pump is working and is creating a vacuum.
3rd Using the vacuum line from the cabin that leads to the pump, suck or use a vacuum pump and watch to see if the throttle plate opens. If not then the is a proble w/ one or more of these things, leaking diaphram, leaking vacuum line, or broken switch.
This will help determine mechanical condition.
For electrical use the townsend site.
One thing to make sure of is, does cruise light on dash come on when turning the steering column switch on?
