Head gasket replaced and turbo is not the same

Hello all.
I just had my mechanic replace my head gasket. my 89 900t sedan (180,000k mi.) was starting rough in the morning and blowing white smoke. This indicated that coolant was getting into the cylinders and being burned off during first start.
Everything seemed to be alright when I got her back. She idled more smoothly, even when standing at a light. The only problem is that I am not getting as much boost out of the boost. The needle still travels mostly through the yellow like it used to though. The car just doesn't seem to move as well in boost. Any suggestions?
