Not silly at all. There's also an LH 2.4.2.
As far as I know, the compression ratio on the 16-valve Normally Aspirated engines is the same for all years. The CR on turbos is lower than the Normally Aspirated engine but is the same for all years of 16-valve turbo engines.
Here's a link to the Townsend Imports page that shows which years have which LH variant and the differences between the variants.
The big differences between the LH 2.2 and the 2.4 are that the 2.4 has fault logging and it uses the AIC to keep engine RPMs from falling too low when the throttle is closed. There are more subtle differences, too.
The big diffrence between the 2.4 and the 2.4.2 is that the throttle position sensor on the 2.4.2 gives a continuous reading of throttle position whereas the earlier variants just indicate fully-closed throttle and wide-open-throttle. And there are more subtle differences. Only the 2.1 litre N/A 900 engine got the LH 2.4.2.
