Whatever you do, DO NOT put in a higher amperage fuse.

Here's a fact about fuses - the size of the fuse has very little to do with the load - blower motor or dome light or anything else. The fuse is sized so that if there is a short circuit, the fuse will blow before the wire gets so hot that it starts a fire. Fuses protect wires, not electrics. The wire size is chosen to present a minimal voltage drop for the load - bigger loads have fatter wires. The fuse is then picked based on the size of the wire.

If you put in a bigger fuse and there is a short circuit, the wire may start to burn before the fuse blows. Since you already know there is a problem on that circuit, going to a bigger fuse could be a very costly and exciting mistake.

I could definately be a motor on the way out. One failure mode of a motor is to draw more current as it starts to die.

Another thing is that it takes a lot of current to get a motor spinning. Even more if the motor has some problems. Here is a potential stopgap solution - Turn the fan to the lowest setting when you stop the car. If you forget, check that the fan is on the lowest setting before starting the car. When you re-start the car, the fan will be at its lowest setting. After the fan is running you can turn the speed up.

Why? Because getting the fan going from a standstill takes a lot of current. Getting the fan going FAST from a standstill takes A LOT of current. If you bring it up to speed slowly, it will draw less current.

A normal fan won't have this problem, but you don't have a normal fan. This solution may work for a bit.
