Is that the 16V Bentley manual?

Troll,
I have the Bentley manual for the 8V cars, but I don't know if it says anything about crimping/clamping the fuel lines. I just followed the advice in my other SAAB manual, the Haynes book I've had for a while.
It says, I think, to sloooowly undo the fittings the fuel filter with plenty of rags at hand/draped over and under the fittings (due to any residual fuel pressure in system). I just usually fit my wrenches on the fittings and drape an absorbent cloth over the works before I loosen them. I'll have to keep in mind now not to crimp my lines in the future.
I feel for ya, man. Just the other day, I was trying to tighten up the slack in my accelerator cable and I dumbly put a wrench on the plastic part of the cable fitting! (You can guess what happened!) A 2 minute adjustment turned into a real ordeal--would have been worse if I hand't had a parts SAAB to rob the cable/housing from.
