Coolant & oil on Tranny

I have noticed a deposit of oil on the top of my transmission (as viewed from battery side) since I bought my first Saab (about 3 months ago). It is used-one original owner. An '86 900S with about 42K miles on it. It always seemed to be in great condition (with the exception of a wandering idle). This problem has me worried though.
When I first noticed the oil on the tranny, I just figured that the original owner overfilled the crankcase. After changing the oil and degreasing the engine, I noticed the oil returning to the top of the tranny. No oil spots on the driveway though (I guess not much is leaking). What worries me is that, after realizing that I was losing antifreeze slightly, I looked closer at the tranny and saw some green. I think antifreeze is coming out with the oil somewhere. I am not very mechanically adept. I tinker around, and learn more about each system day by day, but I don't feel that I am capable of removing the head or anything major like that. Plus, I don't really have many tools at my disposal.
I do not have antifreeze driping from my exhaust, or even a smell in the exhaust so that makes me feel a little better.
I have also noticed small amounts of oil in the sparkplug compartment. Just sitting there along the bottom corner. Good news is very welcome (like: "just pour some Bar's Leaks sealant in there" or something). But if something major is happening, I would find no problem taking this gem to a mechanic. This car should last me another 200K miles.
Thanks
