I just installed a CD on the top slot and a Tape in the bottom (like the dual deck setup in a 9000). I wired the units so that both units would be hooked to power and speakers. After installing the units I now have some distortion at hight volume - 35 out of 50. Not that I need to go that high but does anyone know if there is a way to overcome this (no static at 35 with only one deck) - Also if I plug in my electric antenna static will presist at low volume - My solution no antenna on one of the decks.
Here are the experiments I tried - all done with one of the 2 units off - if both units were on they heated up quickly (short circut)
- one unit conected - no static
- both units no antenna on tape deck - static at high volume
- both units both antenna - static at low volume and heet - shorting out the unit
- both units no antenna on tape and playing the cd at high volume without the speakers attached to the Tape deck - no static
CD player is a JVC KD-550
Tape player is a JVC KD-F150
Any Ideas or sugustions would be great
Thanks
Adam
