Very interesting. I had no idea that wasnt the stock steering wheel. I know over the years it has attracted some attention. As far as the mileage on the car, I purchased it in 1995 from the original owner with 78,000 miles on her. At the time it was my third saab - and by far my favorite (i purchased my 4th saab, a 91 talladega red spg, sometime in 1997/98). In 1999 I had to move to Las Vegas. Since the military wouldnt pay to transport all my cars, I could only afford to take 1 - the SiS. The 86 turbo went to charity, the 91 turbo convertible and the 91 talladega red spg went to my brother for him to "watch" them for me. The convertible became his daily driver, while the SPG got driven for pleasure. In late 99/early 2000 I passed 120,000 miles in the SiS. When the Air Force sent me to San Antonio in July 01, I drove the SiS from NV to TX. I then had the red spg transported from Baltimore down to San Antonio. Since then I have been splitting driving time between the two. Both are absolutely wonderful automobiles. My decision on which car to drive rested solely on the weather - >65 F but <90 F meant SiS, <65 or >90 meant 91 SPG. I will miss both cars dearly. It was difficult watching the red one drive away last night. Hopefully someday in the future I will once again be an SPG owner.
