A long time ago I got a set of Firestone Firehawk GTX. My wife wasn't impressed because the last set of Firestones she had were the exploding 500s (which did explode for her...)
They were always going out of balance. We wore the tires out, & didn't have any "real" troubles with them, but I've never before or since had a set of tires that needed to be rebalanced 8 or 10 times over their life.
Good thing the dealer had "lifetime free balancing". I bet he got tired of seeing me.
