Also check for voltage between the engine block and the alternator housing (engine running) - there shouldn't be any (< 0.1V). If there is, you may have a different problem:
There's a ground wire from the alternator frame to the lower mount that often fails from corrosion. With the old bad bushings, the alternator may have been getting a ground thru the bushings (metal-to-metal contact). Now that they're fixed, the wire needs to be in good shape or the power from the alternator can't make it to the rest of the electrical system.
The wire can be tough to see, it runs under the alternator. But if there's voltage between the alternator case and the engine, I guarantee you it's failed or disconnected.
