No, you cannot compare a Benz 300TD and a 900S?

I have owned an 84 900 S for four years and currently own a 90 900 S (another 4 years). I recently had an opportunity to get a 1981 Mercedes 300 turbo diesel for free.
It was a 2 door in silver with a sunroof. A very nice looking car, low mileage, not rusty, etc. I decided against taking the car for free.
These cars are slow (slower than a 900 S), the diesel engine is loud and they smell quite a bit from the diesel exhaust. They drive like a tank and are not nearly as tight handling as a 900.
I should know as the car in question was owned by my mother since new and I drove the car regularly over the last 20 years. After careful consideration I decided to let my other siblings fight it out for the car. Not worth the upkeep required to maintain the car (about as expensive as the 900). I prefer my 900 and have no room for another car.
Now, if my mother had only driven an SPG, that would be a different story. I guess I would have to fight that one out with my sibs.
