Thermal Blanket/Wrap for Exh Mani & Downtube

I just replaced the CV Joint Boot and the Inner Drive Tri-bearing assy and Boot on the Passenger side. The heat on that side of the engine compartment really takes it's toll on the components located nearby. I've messed around with the idea of using a thermal-blanketing-type product to wrap around the exhaust mainfold upstream of the Turbo and the downtube between the turbo and the Catalytic Converter. Can anyone think of any new problems I'd be setting myself up for?
