This is a continuing post of my previous problems with a 1987 900 Turbo. When I start the car with a cold engine it revs high (jumps to around 2000RPMs) then settles and the idle starts to ‘hunt’ (move up and down spastically). When the engine warms up after a short drive all these symptoms go away.

So far I replaced O2 / ‘lambda’ sensor. Replaced the NTC (Negative Temperature Coefficient sensor). I am about to swap the Air mass meter AGAIN, but I don’t think this will fix the problem. I am beginning to think it is a fuel pressure problem. Maybe too much pressure causing high idle swings when it is suppose to be low pressure at cold start. Does anyone have some further suggestions? I need some ideas of what to do. There are no Saab specialists in my area so that is out of the question.
