IMHO, spending a lot of money on V-rated tires makes no sense on a non-turbo Saab. Wear and grip in wet/snow conditions are usually no better than their T-rated cousins. My 900i 8v has had Michelin MXT2, Pirelli P4000 and (currently) Nokian NRT: Michelin's were not cheap but definitely the best in grip and noise level. No chance to comment on the wear since some *(^*@ put a knife in all four tires at 25.000 km's. P4000's were the only replacements on stock, but this was definitely not an improvement, although slightly cheaper.
My daily driver (900T16S) has V-rated Michelin's Pilot HX fitted, pricey, good grip, but grip deteriorates fast as they wear out.
