I live in Tampa(I know what hot is). My son and I have owned 9 SAABs. The temp gauge should sit at 1/2 or below 99 percent of the time(with only 1 fan running). High RPMs at Low speed will cause it to get to 9/16. Anything above that get the car to a mechanic. Driving around for 3 months with a hot engine should be reported to PETS. People for the Ethical Treatment of SAABs. For God's sake the radiator is only $200. A used engine with a good head can be cheaper than a head job. Especially if the engine has considerably fewer miles.
